Dates are naturally deliciously sweet, making them a healthy alternative for a sweet snack. They are packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals, making them a nutritious choice. By filling the dates with nourishing ingredients, you create the perfect snack for those moments when you crave something sweet! This recipe for stuffed dates is my absolute favorite, and I wanted to share it with you. It’s truly so delicious!
What you need:
Dates
Almond butter
Pecans
Walnuts
Cacao nibs
Chia seeds
Raw honey
(Celtic) sea salt
Optional: Chocolate of your choice (white, dark, milk, etc.)
The quantities depend on how many dates you want to make. Fill each date to your liking!
How to make stuffed dates:
Open the dates and fill them with a generous layer of almond butter.
Place half a pecan in the center of the date and press it into the almond butter.
Sprinkle some crushed walnuts over the dates for extra crunch.
Add a bit of raw honey for an extra touch of sweetness.
Optional:
Melt your choice of chocolate in the microwave until liquid.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the dates (amount as desired).
Sprinkle chia seeds and cacao nibs on the dates for extra nutrition and flavor.
Add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.
Place the stuffed dates in the fridge to firm up, or eat them right away! It’s that simple—a delicious and nutritious snack that satisfies your cravings while giving your body energy.
Variations and tips:
You can easily replace the almond butter with peanut butter or other nut butters, depending on your preference. You can also use different types of nuts, such as hazelnuts or cashews. Make a small batch in advance so you always have a healthy snack on hand, especially after a long day when you’re in the mood for something tasty but want to make a healthier choice.
X's,
Luisa
