Ingredients
For the Oatmeal:
50g organic oatmeal
250 ml full-fat organic milk (or plant-based milk such as almond or oat milk)
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground cardamom
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
1 clove or ¼ tsp ground clove
1 tbsp agave syrup or honey (to taste)
1 tsp maca powder (for hormonal balance)
Seeds according to your cycle (see seed cycling)
For the Stewed Pear:
1 ripe pear, sliced into wedges
A splash of water (about 50 ml)
½ tsp cinnamon
A handful of soaked nuts (for Pitta & Kapha, use only seeds)
1 medjool date, chopped
For the Finishing Touches:
A generous scoop of organic (vegan) yogurt (for Pitta & Kapha)
Extra honey or agave syrup (optional)
Preparation:
Combine the oatmeal and milk (or water for Kapha) in a saucepan.
Set the heat low and let it simmer gently, stirring occasionally.
Add the cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and clove. Let the flavors infuse well. (For Pitta, reduce the amount of spices slightly.)
Stir in the agave syrup (or honey) and maca powder. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the oatmeal becomes soft and creamy.
Stewing the Pear and Nuts:
In a separate pan, heat a splash of water with cinnamon.
Add the pear slices and cook for about 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pears are soft and have a syrup-like consistency.
Add the soaked nuts and chopped medjool date during the last minute, so they just warm up and soften.
Serving:
Stir a spoonful of yogurt into the oatmeal for a refreshing bite (for Pitta).
Scoop the oatmeal into a bowl and top it with the stewed pear, nuts, and dates.
Finish off with extra seeds suitable for your cycle.
Enjoy your nutritious and delicious oatmeal bowl, perfectly balanced for your body! ✨
